Our meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. and finish by 8:30 to allow for time for questions and visiting. Children who can sit quietly may attend but please be sensitive to others by sitting near the back so you can slip out if you have a crying baby. We love children, but these meetings are like a "professional development day" for teachers so it is important that all can hear.
January 25, 2010: Dads Only
This will be a special interactive meeting for dadsthat will answer many of the questions about homeschooling from a male perspective. George Wallingford will chair this meeting. Ladies, let your husbands know about this important date.
We will be viewing and discussing a video by KONOS entitled PDads - The Men in the Gap". The jacket of the DVD reads as follows: "It is a round table discussion with seven homeschool fathers, sharing their hearts about how each is challenged to fill the husband/father role as Provider, Priest, Protector, Principal and Partner. These men represent a testimony of how God can use success or failure, model back grounds or dysfunctional pasts to attain His purposes for the homeschool family."
