RVHEA publishes a newsletter, Learning At Home, as a resource for home educators in the Ottawa area. Ten issues per year are published to all members at no cost. Learning At Home is also available by subscription at $50 annually for 10 issues.

Each issue is brimming with encouraging and informative articles as well as news of activities in the Greater Ottawa/Rideau Valley area that would be of interest to homeschooling families. Regular features of the newsletter include:

- the Junior LAHer Corner, which showcases the creativity and work of our homeschooled children;
- Prayer Items; and
- Favourite Homeschooling Freebies.

Member ads and vendor advertisements provide a means of buying and selling teaching materials.
